I've got an ecommerce shop based in the UK selling to mainly UK customers.
The main site is www.WIDGET.co.uk but I recently bought www.WIDGET.com to protect the brand name and catch any type-in traffic that might assume the website has a .com domain.
My question is, what should I do with the .com domain in order to preserve my SEO efforts and not get penalised in the search engines for duplicate content or anything like that?
Is it best to just do a 301 redirect? Or should I have a blank page with a link to the .co.uk domain?
Any advice much appreciated,
Tom
