I want to give my customer free shipping on freight items. But how do I approximate freight for anywhere in continental US.

How do you find the cheapest freight company?

Its not as easy as estimating as with UPS/Fedex

Well, all shipping web sites have a shipping calculator.

You open up one tab with the USPS Zip locator.

Open up another with the shipping calculator of your choice.

Find a zip code for the area farthest from you, and enter it into the calculator. This is good enough to ball-park all the zones you'd need.

Are you talking about small packages like UPS would take, or "freight", as in things that must be shipped on a pallet by transport truck?

I am talking about pallet. The problem is freight can cost a lot from one zone to another.

Yes, shipping pallets can be pricey. Try "Frieght Quote", just type that into google and you will find them. We have been using them for 4 years and have nothing but good things to say.
