I'm a bit frustrated and I hope the solution is so simple that I have just overlooked it. I have a site that started as a testing platform. It was never intended to be a money maker. But hey you test enough stuff you are bound to get traffic that will convert for something.

I want to sell an ebook on this site. I have never tried to sell just one item. I figured I would use one of the "easy" solutions. But I have had a problem with them all.
Paypal - Overall good, decent cobranding but several people have emailed me saying they refuse to use paypal.
ClickBank - Decent but not as simple as I would like and higher fees.
2C0 - Tough to cobrand and too many required fields for selling an online ebook.
Pro Stores - Tough to make look decent for selling just one item.

I am looking for a cash register that can be branded with my page layout and logo. It needs to be able to accept credit cards and send out an automated email with instructions. Also I need to be able to easily handle refunds. I don't care about handling affiliate sales. Oh yea it can't cost too much. I'm only selling about $100/day. Then again maybe I should just build a full e-commerce solution so I can have the good seamless user experience that I want.

$100/day is enough to justify a merchant account with advanced integration like Auth.net.

From my perspective it is not worth the hassle. My time is valuable to me (and my other projects). I'd rather lose a few percentage points and have someone provide a nice third party solution.

paypal seems to me the simplest solution.

just lose those that do not wont to use paypal.

by the way thats the first time i have heard of a buyer not wonting to use paypal.

in the past i had only ever heard of sellers not wonting to use paypal.

yea it looks like im going stick with payapal. i have come across several people not liking paypal. maybe its the fear of big brother, maybe its aggravation that they force you to attach your credit card to an account or maybe its because of the horror stories posted on the site "paypal sucks"

Use paypals website payments pro. Or just have one of the shopping cart sites like monster commerce handle it.

>paypal sucks

Also read the book "The Paypal Wars" on Amazon. Anti PayPal sites were first started by the eastern block organized crime rings after paypal fought back against fraud.

You could use CubeCart 3 version that has all of your requirements
Just delete the boxes and unwanted functionalities
And add a simple script “hack” that will bring the user directly in view cart mode
A couple of clicks … done…
Modif cart look, add some free hacks: ˝ day max
