How much tweaking is required to set up Miva Merchant

I have a client who had a small shop up on freemerchant which just closed it's doors. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much tweaking is needed to get Miva Merchant up and running.

My experience with oscommerce is that there is a lot of work to do with an OSC out of the box app to get it where you want (adding contributions and customizing the header, forms etc via php).

I'm wondering if Miva might be a little less labor intensive in the front end. I'd appreciate any thoughts

I've done both. Honestly - it is about a tie. I ended up with oscommerce as the winner. If you have experience with oscommerce - i would stick with it.
