Hi Everyone,

I have a client who just got dumped from PayPal because the product they are selling is against PayPal's TOS (it's not, but PayPal limited the account and my client just wants to get away from them because he is peeved).

He is probably going to setup a merchant account, but it will take 10-15 business days which will equate to about $40,000 in lost sales waiting.

Is there an alternative to PayPal that can get the account going quick? The cart is custom, and with PayPal I set it up to upload the cart to PayPal and get IPN info after sale is complete.

Any suggestions?

The merchant actually has an office in Canada as well as in the US. Pretty sure he opened his PayPal with the US address.

If he is in Canada without a US bank / address, there is psigate, beanstream, CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce), as starters

Have a look at Internet Secure. They process both Canadian and US $ and are relatively quick to get up and running.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

There is no need to process in Canadian funds as their site is all in US funds. I actually have a merchant account with PSI Gate right now and probably will have my client get theirs through them as well. I know PSI Gate takes 10 business days though.. I wanted to get something up and running like PayPal until the 10 days are done for the merchant account. Something where you can apply and start receiving orders the same day like PayPal.
