Cancelling Cybersource

And use Authorize.net

I have an osCommerce store that cannot seem to integrate well with Cybersource. There is something about the integration that does not work.

I would like to recommend to my client to move to Authorize.net, and ask, is there any fee for cancelling the Cybersource account? And, are there any glaring issues with Authorize.net you can think of?

I really need help here since the store owners sites has not worked properly with its credit card processing for months.

Usually with gateways - no. But Cybersource is a very good gateway - no reported outages unlike Authorizenet.com which was down about 6 times last year

Just curious - why? I mean, I can see why the programmer does not want it because he is having problems. But Cybersource has a few redundant data centers to help cut down on DDOS attacks and outages

i am having issues with the script to integrate and off of my particular server...where C needs to be compiled?

authorize.net goes down not frequently enough to cause me concern...

i also have an issue with thier support being open during m-f only and biz hours...

you guys feel this is unacceptable in this day and age of 24/7 sites?

can u think of any reason NOT to go with authorize.net besides the occassional outage due to random attack...which i believe they have addressed?

I love Authorize.net. No problems, after the last DDOS attack they've taken serious measures to prevent future attacks.

Well other than the outages & the testing is a bit flawed, they are OK. Cybersource is a very strong gateway - a lot of the larger corporations use it. It is usually not used by the small mom & pop businesses that use authorizenet.com.

I think my only issue was that authorize.net was not usable on yahoo stores, if that is on the radar. I would have had to go to payementtech.

There are a few gateways that are compatible with Yahoo. I would have thought Authorizenet.com would be one of them since they do communicate with First Data (or maybe it is the wrong platform?)

Bank of America just forced us to switch to Cybersource as they are abondoning their in house gateway.

We have integrated it with our heavily hacked OSC store with no problems.
