Busiest Pre-Christmas Shopping Day

Today is supposed to be the busiest day this year for ecommerce. I suppose people have had a chance to look for gifts over the weekend in the stores. If they don't want the hassle of going to the shops again or think they will get a better deal online they are likely to buy today.

Good luck to all etailers (and affiliates).

How are your sales going today?

Yes, today is the busiest of our holiday season so far.

Too busy to to keep typing out a post.

Today is BLEH. Absolutely nothing. This whole weekend has been BLEH. My traffic is way way up, at an all-time high, but the conversion to sales is at such a low percentage that I recalculated it about a dozen times to make sure my calculator wasn't playing tricks.

That is good to hear Rugles.

I had a rather large affiliate sale over the weekend so I am hoping for more of the same today.

We are steady...BUT, the economy is definitely taking a toll as compared to last year, no doubt. I think people are waking up to the real economic realities now...right at the worst possible time. No doubt we are headed for a recession or depression...I was just hoping this Christmas would do really well before people stopped buying as much...

While I'm not "glad" to hear of it, it's good to hear others are feeling the crunch.

When something goes wrong I usually assume it's something I did. :-)

Our sales are coming along like the rest of the year, but nothing like we expected. Guess it goes to show you put the effort in and limit your expectations, what happens, happens.

This xmas season has been muted on this side too. I mean it's still good and better than last season , but compared to overall YoY growth , it's been below the trend ...

2 of my clients are having a record breaking day. Wish I could claim it was all because of me but I can't. They are smart cookies and have learned how to drive. :)

This has been a better season for me so far than any previous Xmas, no evil eye. I have been wondering if all the bad economic news has meant that more people are buying things that are less expensive. Most of my products are expensive within my niche but not expensive in general, and a lot of them make good gifts.

The first weekend was up 22% year-over-year for us. Up less than 10% year-over-year since then including this weekend.

Biggest day here (books and gifts, France).
We made as much sales this monday as in the whole month of August :)

Today is supposed to be the busiest day this year for ecommerce.
Is that what some press release said? LOL

For most online sellers Tuesdays and Wednesdays average about 10% stronger than Mondays. I'd look for a better day tomorrow, but we are starting to get close to Christmas. Sales should start their decline by Friday.

Sunday the 9th was an all-time record for me. Overall the season is very good, but I get the feeling it could have been better.

Our online sales picked up dramatically on Monday evening (as soon as I left the store no doubt). Compared to the sales staff in our B&M store, our website is selling a little more than the top few salespeople are averaging. It's not excellent, but it's enough to keep my spirits from being crushed.

I must get my sites completed for next year...(cut and pasted from last years comments)
