We have recently been receiving orders with addresses similar to this:

p.o. box os 1713 osu-accra
accra
England, 00233
GB

My partner and I disagree as to the location...I don't think its England.

Yep, Ghana, just do a simple search for osu-accra to confirm it.

Thanks phranque!

Is this typical of scammers to list a country, such as England, other than the actual addressed country? I have seen a similar address to this with France as the country.

Scammers try to disguise Ghana and especially Nigeria. I see a lot of "Lagos Island" for Lagos, Nigeria. Or the abbreviation NG for Nigeria.

Goes without saying that everyone in e-commerce should know Accra (Ghana) and Lagos (Nigeria)

I know mail can be sent to many African countries marked "Via France"... mainly former French territories. Sometimes such addresses are more reliable than shipping direct (say from the USA) to Africa. Ghana is a former Brit territory. I don't know if it still has a UK "Zip"

If you don't know this stuff you shouldn't even be thinking about accepting export orders.
