Does anyone have any experiences accepting payments in Japan.
I would like to accept credit cards and bank transfers in Japan. I have looked into a few options but there doesnt seem to be any good options.

Anyone have any experience in this area?

PayPal Website Payments Pro accepts credit card payments in JPY, as well as USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, and AUD. It does not work with bank transfers, only major credit cards.

The product integrates with your eCommerce site; customers do not get transferred to PayPal to make a payment via credit card.

Pay Pal is a great alternative... can you set up a merchant account? then add your own processor? Have everything translated to Japanese as needed?

Stick to PayPal for the short term.

I can set up a merchant account out my bank, I don't understand where the processor comes in? Can that help me with accepting Yen?

Are you accepting credit cards in your local currency or are you totally new to ecommerce?
