I am a newbie with shopping carts.

I have a template for design of site already.

I checked out some carts and they all seem unflexible in terms of being able to implement what you want and where.

I want our products to be in a specific spot and I want the shopping cart running total to be in a specific spot.

I want the search to be in a specific spot.

I also want to be able to convert all pages into static HTML.

Any suggestions?

They're all pretty flexible nowadays. Vp-ASP will handle it, osCommerce will if you're a propeller head. Dansie will be your cart if you program the rest of the site. The list goes on and on...

I have Dreamweaver and would like the know the extension as well. Also, which shopping cart software is recommended? I currently use Miva with their template and find it a bit archaic looking in that my website now looks archaic. :)

I look forward to your responses. Thanks!
