Does paypal have proof that the cheque was ever received by you?

Did you despoit it yourself, or was it sent from PayPal directly to your bank?

I don't know about Pay Pal rules and regulations. But in most cases you can contact the issuers of the check and ask if the check has come through their system or not. If it hasn't you ask them to put a stop payment on it. After
certain length of time they will issue a new check There will probably be a charge of $ 10.00 or more for this action.

Your predicament is complicated by being international,so different rules might
apply than to a domestic problem.

In any case contact Pay Pal as I am sure this is problem that has happen before...KF

Thanks for all the tips.
I will give couple of few days more to see if my local bank can trace it out(Its being a large bank and you are lucky if you can speak to a human being there-They only use Internet banking and useless telebanking!)

I guess its Time to go back to small unit banks who still use old fashioned book and ledger systems,at least you can go there physically and they can trace things you.

It's always a good idea to make a photocopy (or digital photo) of any checks you deposit. Banks have a habit of losing the ocassional check or deposit...

Why are you using all these "iffy" services?

You have a bank with no branches, just a telebank?
Your using PayHell a fourth party processor/funds relayer?
What else?

Are you trying to save a couple nickels, dont know any better and expect the same service as a legit bank or merchant account, dont have the documentation to use anything better?
