Migrating from Paypal shopping cart

I am currently looking at adding a merchant account/gateway to my site using Merchant Accounts Express. My online store is currently 100% Paypal and I use Paypal's Virtual Terminal for phone orders. I will still offer Paypal as a payment option but just want to get my business out of Paypal.

My problem is that I currently use the Paypal 'Buy' 'Add to cart' and 'View Cart' buttons along with the Paypal shopping cart. I want to be able to add a new shopping cart where I can simply replace the Paypal code for these buttons. I do not want to have to load all of the items in my current custom database into a shopping cart database.

Does anyone have a shopping cart recommendation that will simply allow me to plug in the new shopping cart allowing me to keep my current custom product pages? My site is using php on a dedicate server.

After doing some research, I think mals-ecommerce is my solution. I will then have mals use Paypal Pro to process credit cards.
