Hi,

I've found a suppier with some good prices based in Cyprus. As they are part of the EU (as am I in the UK) i think it would be good to deal with them, as I can avoid import taxes (I think), which i would incur if I was importing from china etc.

Has anyone else ever dealt with a company from Cyprus, or are there known amounts of fraud? I have asked them for a quote on a small order (this was last thursday, adn they are yet to get back to me, although we were exchanging a lot of e-mails prior to this). They have been around since early 2003 according to there website, and have been sending me pricelists etc via e-mail since early december. I have been ignoring them, but they sell products I am very interested in selling.

They offer 20% payment upfront and 80% on receipt of the goods. One thing that does concern me is that they haven't yet replied to my e-mail. The chap said he was drawing up a proforma invoice.

Anyone any thoughts? Or if you have had experiences please share them.

Thanks,

According to this [delcyp.cec.eu.int] Spain, Germany, France, and Italy are the countries with severe fraud problems.
