I'm curious if anyone has any info on getting shipping rates for something like "Super Saver Shipping" where it may take up to 9 days for delivery but the costs are low enough to swallow to make it worthwhile for the seller.
Is that simply through astronomical volume or do fedex, ups or DHL ground offer the slower shipping to retailers and its just something you have to negotiate on your own?

We are a mid-size shipper with UPS/FEDEX/DHL and have never been offered a deferred service discount. Our volume discount is decent. Fedex has a program called Smartpost. It seems to be volume based.
