Hi, I am having so many problems with creating and existing buy now buttons on PP that I am looking for a reliable alternative. I can see no end to my problems and I am fed up to being lied to, fobbed off and just generally being given the run around since they closed down in the UK.

Is there an alternative that is reliable, trustworthy and possibly well known. I know it won't be as well known as PP but I will take a chance on that.

Regards Charles

Have you looked at Google Checkout? it is the only cheap alternative to Paypal at the moment.

Thanks for the reply. No I haven't seen it yet but I had heard about it, it was talked about in relation to selling on auction sites like ebay. I sell from a web site so I didn't think it relevant, but I will have a look.
Thanks.

you are misinformed about google checkout, it could well suit your needs

your only alternative to google checkout and paypal is getting your own merchant account.

Amazon has introduced a competitor to PayPal, called Amazon Flexible Payments Service. It is now live for US merchants (only), and we've offered it as another payment method on our site for several weeks. Payments can be received internationally, but the transaction must be conducted in US dollars.

Their discount rates are better than PayPal's for micro-purchases, but worse for credit card purchases. The rates do get more competitive as your volume increases.

They also ooffer payments from 'Amazon Payment' accounts, which appears to be a new feature they've added to allow customers to maintain an account balance, similar to PayPal.

Try also Nochex from the UK. They offer a faster deposit turnaround than PP as well
