I'm thinking of signing up for Paypal's merchant services. They are cheaper than my current provider and what I like most is that you can enter the name and credit card number from the Virtual Server. My current company wants a lot more money for that (basic imho) service.

Unfortunately, there is no real demo @ Paypal, so I wanted to ask others here how they like it?

And more importantly, on the customer's bill, does it say Paypal anywhere? Or only my comany name? If it said Paypal, that would be a HUGE turn off.

Thanks.

I think it says something like:

PAYPAL * [Customer's account name]

You can easily change the name [in the brackets], but Paypal name will always stay -- unless, perhaps, you use Paypal PRO (?). I don't think it's a big turn-off; actually, people will associate your name with Paypal more often and won't do a chargeback, for example.

For PayPal Website Payments Pro, the credit card statement would say "PAYPAL *COMPANYNAME", with your choice of an 11 character company name.
