Hi Buddies,
There are many third party service providers for payment gateway service. But they are charging heavy fee (per transaction), which becomes pain if the margin is too low (<10%). Anybody can suggest me, how can we make our own payment gateway to accept money with credit cards and internet banking?

With a lot of capital, highly skilled programmers, and an intimate knowledge of PCI and CISP.

Honestly, if you are asking this type of question on this forum, it is out of your league.

You need to be able to communicate with some of the major transaction processors and the card associations. Building a gateway from scratch would take probably at least a year if you had the right team.

But it sounds like you might even want to become an Internet payment service provider (IPSP) like (some versions of) Paypal and 2CO. If so, that will even be more difficult, because you need to find a bank willing to back you. Visa / MasterCard are not handing these types of accounts out any longer without a thorough background check as well

I actually researched this a long time ago and found out that NOVA does permit you to access their MSP directly without a gateway if you don't want one. There were some 3rd pty scripts that did the integration for you.

BUT, I realized that it wasn't worth it considering all the activities you had to duplicate that the gateway provides (receipts, records, refunds, etc.). At $0.10 a txn, a gateway is earning its money.
