I need a cart to sell event tickets!

Hello All,

I am new to this forum so hopefully this is being posted in the correct area. I am looking for some help in trying to find some sort of shopping cart software that will allow us to sell event tickets.

I know there is high end software that work with venue box offices and what not, and we are not really interested in that. Just looking for something simple that will allow us to input a range of dates an event(s) and allow the customer to choose the specific date and show time and then select from a few different options for seating catagories. The software does not need to be complicated and do any sort of inventory management, and does not need to directly process the credit card, it would just need to be able to capture the data (ie, event, date, time, seating option, quanity of tickets, customer info) and either store it or send it securley to us so we can fill the order and process the credit card. Obvioulsy we would want a confirmation page/reciept, and possibly an automatic email to be dispatched confirming the order.

Any info at all or just someone pointing us in the right direction would be so much appreciated.

Well if you are going to store the CC information and / or email it, you will want to make sure that you use PGP to secure that email and that you you PCI compliant.

I saw an Events Calendar on osCommerce that might do the trick

Have you looked at existing services like "ts express" to sell your tickets, rather than having to set up your own service?
