Hi Guys,

Just wandering if anyone can suggest any alternatives to PayPal, I am interested in companies that provide a good service and have lower rates.

Alternatively, are there any "cheap" ways to process credit cards directly via your one site?

Thanks

There are a few good threads from previous discussions regarding the alternatives to paypal. You might look for them [google.com].

Alternatives depend on:
1 what country you are located in
2 will you be taking payments from abroad

The site will be run by a company based in the UK and it will not (initially) being taking payments outside of the UK.

The prefer option of this company would be to get the clients card details etc and then process this this themselves, I have not really found any other information on this type of option yet.

Thanks

Actually if you want to process the CC transactions onsite you need an Internet Merchant's account.

Do not go down this road, every way you turn there are hooks of insecurity and at the very least will violate the policies of their offline merchant account. Recent discussion on this very topic [webmasterworld.com].
