I'm not asking how important it is to have a secure website.. That I have!
The question is whether the site seal on the website showing that the site is secure... Will this convert more sales?
What do you think or what have you experienced?

Speaking as a consumer, you would not get my credit card information without an SSL site. You need to send me over to somewhere with an SSL site or there won't be any check out from myself and probably 60% or more.
Customers are being trained to at least look for the SSL lock and if they don't see if, close the browser.

If the checkout is on your site and visitors entercredit card information is entered, ssl is required. If they checkout through a third party like Google or Paypal, ssl is not required.

This is debatable, like BBB logos or other certificate logos webmasters plop on their pages. Is it worth it or just wasted space? I have a customer who insisted on using it. It certainly can't hurt anything.

My site is secure through the hosting plan I have.. but think I'll be purchasing a ssl certificate of my own.
Anything to make the consumer happy.. you know? A happy consumer puts money in my pockets.
