Problem with USPS rates API

Anyone else having problems getting real-time rates from the USPS api server? It seems to be timing out right now.

I visited another site that I know uses the USPS APIs and it is having the same issue. However, I think they may use the same hosting service, so I would like to know if this is a widespread problem, or if it is somehow limited to the hosting service.

(fyi - this problem is occurring on an established site and no changes have been made to the code recently)

Yea I got about 60 error alert text messages on my cell tonight from it :(

Seems to be back up now.

I'm pretty sure all the data can be calculated with rate tables. It would speed things up a lot!
