A potential customer rings from our website, after hours, and leaves the message - 'Hey I F***ing hate you people' then hangs up. I roll around laughing.

Next message a minute later - 'erm yes Id like to order XYZ please call me back on 123123123' - Only they make a complete hash of giving out their own home phone number. Guess what? It was the same lady having second thoughts, she now decides she must love us instead.

Did I phone her back? Nah.

Unless you have Called ID and confirmed that the callback number was the same number left in the message, I would be inclined to think both were crank calls and the caller is trying to get you to call a 3rd party. Just my $.02.

We have the same experience with our phone messages. Some people start swearing, making weird sounds. Sometimes it is rather amusing.

Surely they have something better to do though....
