Do you have experience with ecommerce templates?

I'm considering using a template from "Project Seven" and adding an ecommerce template to that. If you have done this, would you please share your experience?

I am most grateful, Thank You,

Charles

They are very easy to slot in to any existing template. You need to get the generic version of the ECT, it has no design at all essentially, and will be simple to insert into your one.

The only problem is that the code within the ECT functional bits is not entirely valid and thus your pages will not validate, even though you are using a wrapping template that does.

I have only used them once and my experience was good. I had reason to use their support and this was excellent.

We were discussing something with them awhile back. It seems they have two owners. One owner (Owner A) was going to work with us on a project. Then Owner B got involved and said that the API for the gateway was not going to be supported by the gateway and they had no need for it.

I told them the gateway API would always be supported but Owner B just re-iterated what he told me and that was the end of the conversation

Maybe you can deal with Owner A - he seemed to be a bit better but I never heard from him again
