Press Release
TheFind, Inc. (www.thefind.com) today announced the launch of paypal.thefind.com, a new shopping search engine built specifically to enable consumers to browse products exclusively from merchants who accept PayPal payments.Just like results on TheFind.com, products will be shown to PayPal customers as visually compelling catalog-like images, not simply text links or thumbnail images. Unlike traditional comparison shopping sites, merchants will not have to pay for their products to appear in search results on paypal.thefind.com; instead, products from PayPal merchants will be indexed and become part of the natural search results.
You'll want to make sure that you are listed as a PayPal Merchant and get your feeds ready...

Look for Fatbot.
It will be interesting to see what features are enabled for paypal users and what ones aren't. Right now I'm not logged in to paypal but still seeing images.
Lot's of potential.
It is an utter fantasy to believe that people seek out merchants who will take paypal.
I've been looking for some more recent numbers but, on 2006 February 15, PayPal released information stating that they had exceeded the 100 million registered users mark. Those users are spread out amongst 55 countries.
And I'll agree, there probably isn't a large group of people seeking out PayPal Merchants. But, if they promote it right, they could change that mindset.

I really don't see ebay stores listed so it may be just another search engine were I assume Ebay down the road they will take over the listings as they have done in all the other search engines...

I have money in my paypal account already so I might as well use that instead of withdrawing it to my credit account.. I'm sure I'm not alone in this regard. If you already have a approved paypal account with cash inside, its incredibly easy to purchase something.

You couldn't be more wrong on this point. PayPal cash is often highly discretionary cash that has been acquired through liquidating assets via Ebay. This money doesn't feel like real money, and the ease with which its spent makes it an ideal source for making impulse purchases.
I have frequently preferred suppliers by their ability to accept PayPal, and when looking to buy online, am drawn to PayPal merchants for the reasons I have stated.

Well for the users who do want to use paypal, they can use this search engine to locate stores. For general online shoppers who don't care about the processing company behind the site, (most shoppers) this will draw extra users.
This Promotes paypal stores to paypal users, and promotes paypal to non paypal users. Win Win.
