E-Mail or AutoResponder Service

I have about 15,000 visitors a day now and sometime in the future I want to start a newsletter to give advice (and ads) to my visitors. I don't know anything about this.

First I was told you could just purchase software, but then it was recommended that a novice webmaster and HTML/JavaScript coder like myself just use a service. That sounds great.

I looked at Aweber and DemandMail and they look fine, though they do tons more than I need or understand.

I simply want to capture user names/e-mail addresses (I guess that's called opt-in?). One other thing that would be nice would be to have two lists, one for newsletters and another for more frequent tips or whatever. Anyway, two lists.

Lastly I'd like to try a link to "send this site to a friend." I don't know if that comes with the package.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, plus if anyone can point to a tutorial on the subject.

Thanks, Peter

Are you also wanting to host this or have a third party host it? If you are wanting to host it, can you have ASP or PHP?

I'm not sure I know what you mean. Hot the website or e-mail service?

My website is all done by me but on a web hosting site. I don't want to do any coding... I'd rather pay for a service if that's what you mean.

Aweber looks great and it's only $20 a month if it will do what I stated I need.

Thanks.

Yes - that was what I mean - on your website.

Another company you might check out is Constant Contact. Or RockCTech was also putting together a newsletter as well.

If you are doing both autoresponder eCourse and monthly newletter email campaign, do you actually use just one software service to do both? If you do, I would like to hear your recommendation on the combo service.
