Simple Question: Is X-Cart Scalable?

If you have experience reaching the upper traffic and hardware limits of X-Cart, I would love your input.

Is X-Cart suitable for a website that does 20K visitors per day, 100K pageviews, and 10 concurrent backend users?

Scalable? Yes.

Slower as you get more traffic? Yes.

Can it be sped up? Yes.

How? Turn off cart statistics or move them to a separate database. Keep the orders db trimmed down to a minimum - theoretically this could also be moved to a separate database (I haven't tried this yet). Use a dedicated server with some form of script accelerator.
