Hi,

I am really puzzled and require your help and valuable suggestion.
I have registered a .IN which completely describes its name i.e it is an e-commerce portal .

I parked this domain for 40-50 days and strongly feel it should be developed into an ecommerce portal.

Goal: A complete e-Commerce solution portal

Limitations: I am working and cannot provide much time to the portal on daily basis.

Solution: Affiliate, Associate, Seller-Resller programs which provide everything from the website template to the products to sell and reports to manage.

I have browsed thru many programs like godaddy, rediff, yahoo, amazon etc but have not been able to decide. Please guide me on how to proceed from here.

Regards,
Dipendra

I wouldnt do that if I were you. Id use a hire a coder service and have them write the site for you, then id do the shipping etc after work.

Exactly. You see the problem with all those godaddy, rediff, yahoo, amazon, etc. is that they are not the owners of your business anyway. And since you have thought of such a smart business idea - to start an e-commerce portal - then, you'd better run it yourself. For the sake of your own success. So do some research on which web designer/developer to use to get your site going and do it yourself from that point on.

Cheers,

John

Thanx Essex and John.

I would have definitely opted for a complete development of an e-commerce site but as i am working with a company, i will not be able to give much time to it.

This is the only reason why I am looking for being a re-seller currently where I do not need to track, manage and interact with the customers & prospects.

Instead, I will like all the work to be done by the partner and yes, if i will get less money for that as compared to have my own thing, then I am ready to.

Later, if my domain goes well with the customers, then will be looking for that option.

It will be of great help if you can provide me with genuine and good reseller / partner and associate sites.

Also, will like to add, as one of my friend is running a web-development, designing company; I have seen major share of his clients shifting their stuff from the old resgistrar to the one suggested by him like domains , hosting a/c etc.

Hope and wish I am not wrong! :))
