inexpensive SSL cert for a subdomain?

I guess the subdomain poses a problem, but I need to run my store on a subdomain.

I want a cert that will be trusted by a max number of browsers, within reason. At the same time I don't want to be, erm, milked and I don't really care what name's on the cert as long as browsers don't get a warning message. Chains are fine if they don't generate warnings.

I'm on a dedicated server (and this means I have to set it up myself, so hopefully the process isn't TOO painful); any suggestions?

Try GoDaddy.

Turbo certs @ $20 yr

Wildcard cert @ $200 yr - will cover subdomains
