Hello,

Here is my question:

I have a website and might expand with other websites. My income would all be based on electronic services, I do not sell any goods or products.
Mainly the money would come from advertising, Google and so on, and possibly memberships to the website (like you have on this site, but a paid membership).

The money would come outside of France,
in fact I live in Holland, but wish to emigrate since I do not like Holland but do like France.
In Holland this type of service - again, it is all online, no material goods are exchanged - is free of taxes until a high amount.
Also, I do not have to start a business here.

Furthermore, if I expand, my income might exceed 5000 Euros, but would definitely stay under 10.000 Euros.

What is the situation in France?
When is it obligatory to start a business?

Is it obligatory to start a business for this type of self-employment and the low amount of money I would be making? Are there laws on this? What do the regulations of the CoC say?

This is mainly the problem, how can I fall out of this?
Does the Chambers of Commerce in France exempt me from having to start a business?

Considering my savings and the amount I would be making, I cannot pay high taxes or fees, I could just pay the regular income taxes.

Hope you can be of help, since I still do not knwo the answers to these questions.
Thanks.

You could consider becoming an "agent" for other webshops to increase your income. I have webshops that do okay in Denmark and would like to expand them to other european countries. But language barriers and a company address that indicates my business is foreign makes it hard to expand in other countries.
If I found the right person in say France, I wouldn't mind share fractions of the sale to an agent if he could help with translations, contact addresses, Google adwords etc.

Just a thought.

Hi all of you,

I read the old thread, it has nothing of use.

Again, if anyone knows specifics. I know there are seven CFE's (institutions at which to register), but I do not know which one to register in, I don't know the tax consequences specificly, so the categories for my line of small-business, and so on.....

Angelica
the Netherlands - for now

I have a website with now approx 400 visitors per day,
that is also - for all who read this - why I need the information, I am not going to make tons of money, just bits.
