Are there companies which helps other companies/individuals to set up an e-commerce store (web development), then helps them with marketing, etc...AND charge those companies/individuals a flat fee for development and a percentage from sales? (I am not referring here at credit card processing companies)

The e-commerce store could be hosted by the company which offers these services (they can have more control on each e-commerce store) or by each company/individuals.

I know something about Yahoo Store! and eBay...but are there others?

Thanks,
Mircea

you can always play around with a yahoo store. it's $50 / month. They give you all the tools to manage your online store (except for inventory). You should do some research on what you want to sell first. Then, you should maximize on how to market your products in a cost effective manner.

Yes there are a few companies that support this feature. What else are you looking for?

There are many companies that would be happy to help you get started with ecommerce and manage as much or little of the process as you'd like. Some will work on flat fee while others prefer percentage of sales.

The flat fee doesn't really provide performance based incentive. It's much more inviting to a company that's going to do the work to have a stake in the profits. The more they sell of your products, the more they can make.

Once you hit 200 posts (I think that's the magic number) you could post in the Commercial Exchange forum as there are probably many folks here that would love to help you out.
