I've read a lot of posts about problems people have with PayPal' WPP, but they seem a bit dated now.

I was wondering if anyone is currently using it, problem free. It's common to hear from those who've had problems with it. Anyone with good experiences?

I am working with an established online retailer that does a substantial internet business. We are currently using a typical merchant account/gateway set-up, and it has worked for the most part dependably with some occasional glitches. But overall, I'd give it a B+ grade.

We were looking into adding a PayPal option to our current set-up for our customers, and in exploring that, found that WPP was a compelling option as a replacement system -- mainly because of the fee structure. We would be able to save a substantial amount of money in fees as opposed to our current payment system. The payment structure is straightforward and not divided into four different fee structures for four different credit cards. Seems much simpler, and definitely cheaper.

BUT...

How is the performance? How is their uptime? We process about 300-400 orders a day during the holidays, can they keep up? How about account reconciliation, etc. I can't seem to find any current opinions on them.

I appreciate any feedback on this. Thanks!

We've used WPP for the past 16 months. We switched from a Citibank merchant account and auth.net, which we were having good luck with.

The appeal of WPP was the simple fee structure; we could never reconcile the Citibank statement with their tri-level qualification schedule, but with WPP, we can predict our costs.

We're not processing nearly the quantity of orders you are, so I can't comment on their capability to keep up.
