Where would I find an established, trustworthy web design company to help with the design of a site clone of
1) Users should be able to place an order using a digital image or a traditional image.
2) They should be able to select canvas size, technique and whether they wish to framed or gallery packed.
3) They would be shown pricing for each of the above selections. Once they make their selection they would be shown the final price.
4) They would then enter their billing, shipping and payment details. They would be able to pay using a credit card.
5) They would receive confirmation of their order being placed and instructions on how to send across the image.
6) If they have a digital image, they would be able to upload it through the site.

In the admin, you would be typically having the following requirements:

1) View reports on orders placed
2) Download uploaded digitial images
3) Inform the system that an order has been fulfilled and the canvas has been dispatched. The site would then inform the user by email.

Also, I'm running on a Mac, so is ASP out of the question? If so, will php &mySQL achieve the same results? Would it be possible to edit the website, as in add new products?

You are running a MAC but what is your domain name being hosted on (*NIX, Windows, MAC)?

Most carts come with this function but it depends on what type of server you are on and what server side languages (ASP, .NET, PHP, CF, etc) and databases (MSSQL, MS Access, mysql, etc) that are supported.

I have a simular project coming up that will deal with the same issues. Does anyone have any other suggestions or can lead me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Well...Unless you're planning on hosting the website from your home or business computer, it doesn't matter what it's programmed in. ASP, PHP, etc. all depends on what your hosting company would offer.

What part of the country do your live in? I could put you in touch with a company that I'm very confident in their work/ability.

Yes this surely sounds like a custom job to me. If you had wanted just a simple ecommerce website I would have recommended oscommerce.
