Need help finding product sources

Recently I have been in the process of trying to open my own retail business. Now I know that this will be no easy task but so far it has been smooth sailing so to speak.

There is however a few questions that I just cannot seem to find clear and understandable answers to. For instance, I have been looking for products to sell via wholesalers but I find most of their products to be, how should I say, something that I wouldn’t buy my self. So to find an answer to this problem I have been looking at better-known companies such as Dell and Sony. After searching for many hours I have found no information as to how to contact these companies and ask them if they either wholesale or drop ship. Now how would I go about contacting more major companies and asking them if they will do either or of these options?

Also would any one know of a good source for drop shippers, I have looked at the worldwidebrands.com but I’m not to sure about the cost associated with it? Does any one have any experience with this or other sources and how well do their products sell?

Thank all of you for your help.

If your in the UK try 'the trader' magazine loads of wholesales firms in there, or in Feb try the Spring fair at the Birmingham NEC.

Again lots of firms not that many eletrical wholesalers but worth a lok anyway.
