Hello,

I am looking for a merchant account to get my ecommerce site up and running.

Since I am in Canada, it seems some merchant accounts have higher CC processing fees. One place I looked into charges 2.2% for CC, but if you are not based in the US it is 4% AND they cap you at 10K/month in sales.

Any recommendations for a canadian based store?

Internetsecure might be one option for the gateway. Beanstream is another. Collective POS is an ISO in Canada as well.

There is usually about 10 days from what I understand to get an internet merchant account in Canada.

Corey is the resident expert...Internetsecure is a good way to go... If have RBC or BMO accounts, try Moneris as well...they pay a bit quicker

not sure what kind of cart you are using if commercial cart make sure the merchant account set up will be able to work.

If totally internet charges higher if not and you can do retail then set it up with retail as it does reduce the cost in processing fees.

cardservice might be one to look into a top end companny but a solid processing one as well.

We get what we pay for.
