We are expanding our online presence, and are suffering from many of the typical growth issues associated with a small company transitioning into a medium sized company. Has anyone evaluated any canned solutions like Commercehub?

ah, you are at the fork in the road...on one hand, you can outsource your fulfillment, on the other hand you can keep it in house with a solution like commercehub.

Both options have pros and cons and any decision you make will have a big impact on how you run your business.

To me it always comes down to your biz plan. If you plan on becoming big, then you may want to keep it in house as it will become cost effective and help to promote an integrated, streamlined business. However, if you plan to maintain a small to mid size presence in your market, then outsourcing may be the way to go. Then again, it may be the opposite depending on your market, product, and other variables. hard to say which is the best for you without any details, but best of luck.

Outsourcing fulfillment does not really save time in my opinion. What it does is shift what you concentrate on. Would you rather do administration and deal with contacts at the outsourcing point?, or would you rather be in the warehouse packing boxes or talking directly to your employees about doing this?
