Last time I checked these were the only ones. Natwest dipped a toe in the market but gave up.

The choice depends on turnover and if you want international payments.

If that card based cash flow is going to be your primary source of income then using a small payment processor may not be the best idea.

You seriously think that Worldpay's standing charges make it a serious entry level provider for the sort of low volumes that PP and Nochex cater for?

As the OP hadn't given any indication of what he was looking for, other than examples of companies that provide a range of service options, we don't know if Worldpay's charges would or wouldn't be suitable, with the limited information provided it may be an option.

Perhaps the OP will give a better indication of his requirements to avoid confusion.

Are you selling a product or service? What volume of payments are you expecting? What transaction values? What geographical areas? What don't you like about PayPal and Nochex?

We just want to give out customers more choice!

We just dont want to force our customers to sign up to any service!

Transactions are in the £50 range.

firstly if you work out the actual costs including all transaction fees, you'll find worldpay isn't really much more expensive than paypal for the average ecommerce site - paypal charge % on everything, worldpay charge flat fee for debit cards which saves a lot of money considering 50-60% of all transactions are now by debit card - it's a case of doing the maths PROPERLY

secondly, why go to all the effort of setting up a business and building a website if you're only going for "entry level" (toe dipping?) - someone (shak?) once said "ecommerce is about making it as easy as possible for people to give you their money" - so why not start with a system that works for your customers? why go for "entry level" solutions just because they're cheap? if you're making the effort to start a business, why not start as you mean to go on and get a more serious and more flexible payment solution to begin with? make it easy on your customers ........

We just want to give out customers more choice!

160 million credit and debit cards issued in the UK - most adults will have at least 1 - most adults can pay through worldpay or other merchant account without any fuss or hassle - is there really a need to give them more choice? (choice actually confuses some people!)

NOchex doesn't require any customer sign up, make sure you use the new payment pages and there shouldn't be a problem
