SSL Cert Problem

In Firefox, Error Occurs

Hello.

I purchased a secure cert through Godaddy (the issuer is "Starfield"), and in Firefox, I get an error.

Something about "Issuer unknown". It works fine in Opera and IE.

Should I have purchased a different cert? Is it a problem with my server's config?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can PM a link to the site, if you'd like to look at it.

---This is a repost, as the previous one was removed, and I can't find it elsewhere...was the problem the plain-text link to my site that I posted? Sorry...---

Issuer unknown - it might mean that the cert is not trusted. whichssl.com will help show differences on what SSL certs are trusted by what browsers.

Thanks for your help, Corey. The problem was that I hadn't properly installed the "Intermediate Cert" on my server.

Now that that is done, all is working well.

It pains me to admit that this was in the README, which I didn't really read too thoroughly.

BTW, whichssl has some useful tools, thanks very much.

Ah those readme files. They come in handy at times but I think we all are guilty about not reading them (I know I am) :)

Glad the whichssl site helped - good luck with it!
