I just received an e-mail from PayPal Introducing PayPal Website Payments Pro

It appears that customers can now pay directly with debit and credit cards on a PayPal merchant's website. This includes by phone, fax, mail and in person. No PayPal account is required.

Webpayement Pro is quite an old option. It consists of two options: Express checkout and direct payment pro. yea, it allows customer to configure a background payment processing for PayPal - it is called Direct payments pro, But it requires SSL encryption on merchants' website and it will not work without implementation of Express Checkout.

Yes, it's now available to UK users, and you can accept payments in six major currencies, with all major credit cards, including Switch/Solo.

Looks like we people in rip-off Britain are going to get reamed again.

US Fees are: ....... $20 per month
UK Fees will be: ... £20 per month

Current exchange rate 1 GBP = 1.96126 USD

Pro rata charge should be £10.20 per month. Why do we put up with this? :(
