Is it worth it?

I'm thinking about offering this to my customers in the UK. Would look to use a finace company to handle it, but just wondering how effective this kind of promotion can be.

My average order value is about £70, but many products are in the £200 range and go up to £5000, so I think there is scope for interest (no pun intended!)

Are there any particular companies I should approach to persue this idea?

Hello,

I am not sure if this is crucial for you but this kind of system is not worth of it, I believe. Why would you want to go for this?

This would create much more problems than it can ever solve. I advice to try something else.

I think it could help sales of my more expensive items, particularly ones that cost in excess of £1000.

Providing I use a company to handle the finance, then I can't see why there would be any difficulties.

Over on our side of the pond, there are many people in the infomercial business that peddle their wares on the "X easy payments of 33 per month, and if you call in the next 10 minutes, we'll slash off payment Z, meaning you get all this for only x-1 easy payments of
33 per month.

One such peddler has been around for years and years. Long before he hit the cable market with informercials, he was on short tv ads on late night tv and weekend tv.

Anyways, going the payment route hasn't seemed to hurt that particular industry.
