Where can I post free ads or listings for my products?

Get traffic from free web resources rather than paid shopping portal.

Hi, is there anyone who can suggest me some good websites free of charge where we can post product ads and listings? I sell costume/silver jewelry less than $50 and electronics less than $150, I know paid shopping portals like PriceGrabber, Amazon, eBay, BizRate can draw lot of traffic, and I also want to post listings at free portals. I tried livedeal and some other sites, they can not generate any traffic.

have you tried froogle? It's google's shopping search engine. It's not huge, but it's growing. It's free though.

The other way is doing the SEO and link popularity by yourself. So that people can find you by the keyword you set. There are alot of free directory, like dmoz. try to submit as much as possible.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld iloveu.

I have not used the free services primarily for this reason. Partly for fear that I will get what I pay for (or don't pay for) - little traffic or a lot of low quality traffic.

If you submitted to dmoz.org and haven't gotten a response go back to the category and make sure it has someone actively moderating it. If it doesn't then volunteer to do it. They get back fairly quickly. I have found that I had to do it just to get linked. Link has helped with frequency of G spidering site.

Good luck.

Getting listed by DMOZ is great, one of my sites's backlinks trippled after it was listed by DMOZ. But the big problem is it is extremely difficult to get listed and no good solutions for it. I also have several sites waiting, it has been long long time. Somebody says we should re-submit and others say we can not re-submit, otherwise you will delete the previous request in the waiting queue and go back to the end of the line again. Any idea?
