How can i implement SSL so that the padlock shows up on my website guys?

Basically you need 2 things:
(a) a certificate (Verisign or others)
(b) you have to have all the ssl stuff enabled and configured in the webserver's basic config and let the webserver have your certificate.

Is it going to cost?
(a) if you are not going to use self-made certificates (which is a no-no on an ecommerce site): yes.
(b) if it is not yet part of your hosting plan: yes, by upgrading or transferring to another hoster.
