[how to] International subscriptions

I want to provide a subscription service. My needs are:

A system that manages subscribers, passwords etc., allowing them access to information and collecting recurring payments.

I want to charge my subscribers around $5 a month, $50 a year. This means I'd like to pay as little as possible per transaction.

I want to support customers in many countries and languages, allowing them to pay using local (non-international) credit cards, local currencies ($, Euro, Yen etc.).

My company is based in Israel. I do not have a U.S. bank account.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld avin!

As far as a "system" goes. I take it you're looking for a shopping cart. You should take a few moments and research these search results [google.com].

To accomplish the payments in different countries/currencies you can use any one of several gateways. After a quick check it looks like WorldPay and Authorize.net would fit the bill among many others.

lorax, thank you for your answer!

Before posting, I researched this issue using this excellent site. The "$5 product/service X 1,000,000 customers?" here led me to understand that I'm building a "membership site".

Therefore I think the "system" I need is less a Shopping Cart but something like a Subscription Management system. AFAIK a shopping cart is for one-time purchase from many products, while a Subscription Management system is for a recurring purchase of one product :-)

But leaving aside the "system", what I need is low- cost credit card billing systems localizable to many countries and not blocking me out because I'm from outside the U.S.

Perhaps you should take a trip over to one of the script sites like Hotscripts and search for a subscription management script.

Re: payment solutions - see my last post. ;)
