hi,

it is allowed to request the customer sends his cvv by email - as long as no other card details are sent?

(i suspect not, as this would constitute storing the code in some place, which is not allowed)

thanks

I would not do it because of security reasons. As far as I know - there is nothing on the books that says that exactly - I do know that you cannot store the CVV so depending on the email etc they might consider that storing and you could lose your merchant account and be subject to many fines

I would say you are jeopardizing the client's personal information by doing that and it is not recommended

I would say you are going to kill your business.

If you sent me an email requesting my cvv info it would be an email back cancelling my order and charge.

Not a good idea.
