I am searching for a ecommerce solution that allows members/subscribers to add money into their account. I'm sure someone understands what I mean. I am searching different services for this, but I don't really know what to look because I am not sure what this service is called if it actually specific name.

Can someone give me a list of companies that provide this service or maybe tell me what to look for?

Are you looking for a program itself (and then ASP, .NET, PHP)?

Or are you looking for a merchant account provider and an electronic payment gateway? If so, what country are you in?

Are you looking maybe for an e-Wallet type service, where users can pay $10 in and then sepnd smaller "micro payments" from the virtual wallet rather than process lots of individual credit card transactions for small amounts?

jsinger,

Yea after I re-read my post I thought that might sound a bit strange. hehe. I meant to it in reference of "hope".

I'm was wondering about the eWallet Service but was not sure if that was what I was looking for. I was thinking that eWallet only keeps information about the credit card and other user secured information. I didn't know eWallet also allows for money to be desposited into an account and kept there for purchases.

But what you explain seems to be what I am looking for. I am looking for something simliar to Pay-pal but exclusive to my site. Whereas customers may desposit $500 in this account from either a credit card or e-check, then purchase something for say $200 then have the $300 left on their account for later use without having to use their credit card or e-check again.

After I read your reply I search for eWallets all on the web and found similiar though they were a bit vague. Can you confirm that an ewallet is indeed what I am looking for?

Thanks.

Maybe like a gift card, etc? And do be careful with the wording on this etc. Some companies will not support this type of service, for example, 2CO does not support
Services Using Credit Card Transactions as Deposits or Credits

Yes Cory, something along that line. Most of the sites that I see using this services are the gambling sites (though my site is not for gambling). I guess this is one reason why this service is so hard to come by, because its mostly used for gambling sites. Other commerce sites just offer gift cards, however I would like to allow customers to start something like a secured credit line, then also have the option to withdraw used funds.

My only option right now is to allow customers to deposit money via a standard merchant service then I would have a separate system to keep track of each customer's account. The only I find with that would be security.
