Are they any good?

I just received an email offering Chronopay's payment service provision service in Europe. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they any good?

From who did you receive the email?
If it is coming from ChronoPay and you did not request it, than they are spamming you. I would not consider a company that tolerates spamming.

Other than that, there seem to be some users here that tried them or are still using them (or maybe are just affiliated with them).

Seems to be a relatively new company in the processing industry.

I have never heard of them, for something as important as payment processing why not stick with an established provider who offers a quality service.?

They didn't actually send me the email. There was a link to their site on an email to which I do subscribe so they were not spamming me ;)

I have had a look at their website and it all looks quite pukka. Their rates also seem fair and I was just wondering if anyone was using them.

They do a lot of advertising on forums like this and e-commerce newsletters to attract merchants. They are based in the Netherlands and I have only known about them for about one year now, however I don't know if they provide any good service.

The rate they advertise with on the website is not the rate you will get as they also have a 3rd party solution for which you will pay a substantial higher amount. The rate advertised is for direct merchant accounts, probably selling more than 100k/month and you need an European establishment etc.

They also seem to have connections with some Russian banks and even Russian offices which does not sound particularly interesting to me. For all I know the Russian mob is finding a way to earn a quick buck, you never know...
