I used to be a vendor for Target and have known people that are/were independent buyers reps for Target.
Most of these people are local, in the Minneapolis area.
It is all about getting a face to face meeting with the right people.

we are about to start drop shipping for Target, they found us through our wholesale sales rep at the Minn. Gift Mart in Minnetonka.

funny, they did not request any discounts or considerations, normally the big box stores take you over the coals and compress you until you finish bleeding.

two pages of compliance forms, some photos and sales copy, so far that's all they've requested.

good luck.

Hi ridgway, on the compliance forms, did they require EDI integration? We had many providers contacting us about it saying it is basically the only way if you are thinking about working with mass retailers...
I have been looking all over the web but i could not find any tel. number, department contacts, vendor forms etc.
I found it impossible to go through target corp. to reach someone at target.direct.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

they did not require edi. as far as contact info, they are owned by dayton hudson corp., if that helps with finding contact info. if you use any wholesale sales reps with showrooms, they probably have the info.

best of luck.
