Drop in Impressions, Clicks, Sales.

Have things just 'run their course'?

I wrote and have been selling an ebook for past 1 year. Over the last 3 months my sales have dropped 75%. I only advertise on Adwords using two specific keywords and the impressions are down to 1/3 they were last year (monthly). Clicks are down by 1/2 they were last year. I have only 1 competitor. This is a new competitor who sprung up around 3 months ago (around the same time my old competitor stopped advertising.

My book is on a rare health issue.

My question is: is it most likely that over the past year the majority of searchers have already searched for the terms and that 'new' cases simply can't fill the demand?

Has anyone had any experience with this happening? I feel like maybe it's just simply run its course.

Any insight would be appreciated.

sales dropped 75%.... impressions down 1/3.... Clicks down 1/2 .... 1 competitor.... + 1 more new competitor

The numbers seem to explain your 75% sales drop. My suggestion is you might want to try other keywords to see if you can come out with a positive ROI for your ebook.

I am also experiencing a sales downturn this year. I've been running my site for 3 years and this is the first time with negative growth in terms of sales. A few others I know are experiencing the same, and we can't exactly pinpoint what causes this drop.
