It appears that all Amazon properties may have gone down around 1:00 CST. We've confirmed this with several colleagues across the US.

It's back up in the US. UK and DE are still down.

Back up in the UK now, was down for around 70 mins at least.

Being more general - how do site outages affect sales? IMHO customers who were planning to purchase something specific would probably hold off and try again a bit later, providing that the outage is not of several hours, and the purchase not particularly time sensetive..

Of course that doesn't recover lost window shopping / browsing time.

Its not so much the lost sales but the lost credability.
