I was looking at adding some security trust seals on my website and was deciding between Squaretrade, HackerSafe, Truste and ControlScan. I'm trying to get everything ready for the fall busy season.

HackerSafe seem to be the market leaders with over 60,000 customers.

Has anybody had any success with HackerSafe? Did they really see any increase in sales conversions?

I was offered free service for life by a sales man who wanted to charge me $1890 per year. The moment I mentioned their competitor ControlScan he offered me free service for life.

A fellow business owner who was paying $1890 per year also got free service for life plus a full refund by mentioning their competitors. They even paid him $200 not to switch!

My question would be should I take them up on their offer. It seems strange that adding a negative term "Hacker" would increase sales?

Plus what type of service do you think I can expect if I will not pay them a penny?

There are a bunch of older threads on this - you may want to seek them out - in a nutshell most people here said they are a waste of money - to find out why read the old threads

Strange indeed, and untrue according to WebmasterWorld members who tested it.

We need a hackersafe forum to stop the thread from starting every 20 days.
