Payment-Password Management Software?

Hello,

I am setting up a website that will have a restricted access area that members may access after payment. I already have Miva Merchant account but need software to coordinate and maintain payment, usernames, passwords.

Any suggestions?

Do you want users to be given a username and password directly after they purchase, or will you have to confirm, first?

They get the username and password immediately. Also, I don't want to give them the option of choosing their own username/password -- I'm assuming that would be more difficult.
